I’m Felipe Weber, a software engineer with more than 10 years of experience, currently working as a senior iOS developer. I write here about what I learn while building apps — day-to-day software engineering, AI applied to real problems, and the tools that stay in my setup once the novelty wears off.
Background
Since 2021 I’ve been at Sicredi, a Brazilian cooperative bank, working on its mobile banking app. I built the Mobile Token experience, token reactivation through facial biometrics, and other personal-credit features. I also ran the iOS training program for trainee developers.
Before that, at CWI Software, I owned the whole payroll-loan experience on iOS — from creating the repository and the GitLab CI pipeline to modularization and unit tests — and refactored the credit-protection insurance flow into a module shared across the credit products.
I started in mobile with native Android at the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), and spent some time as a freelance iOS developer before moving into financial services.
What I work on
- iOS apps in fintech — sensitive flows like authentication, tokens and credit, where security and reliability are not optional.
- Architecture and quality — modularization, automated tests and CI so large apps stay easy to change.
- Applied AI — on-device models and small products where AI solves a concrete problem.
